here is my SLC update:
speen just got back from japan - he was there for a while on a work trip and i'm SO GLAD that he's home. sucks when your husband is gone doesn't it? however, while he was away, i managed to study a lot, work a lot, aaaaannd watch the entire first and second season of downton abbey, which is brilliant if anyone hasn't seen it. :)  love it.

so. nursing school is pretty awesome. i know i say i hate it most of the time, but i really don't. today i was in the O.R. all day and yesterday i was in the NICU with the itsy bitsy babies. seriously some are less than one pound!

well i love all of you and can't wait to hear more!!

Ok so besides getting super excited about making bread (it tastes sooo good but takes sooo long) Ive just been working!

oh and since I have the day off I decided to scrap book in that journal I have.... I don't know if you guys ever saw it but its the one I always took visiting teaching, and instead of giving the real  VT message I would just read a sweet quote. Anyways I took the picture of the one I did today because it (the quote) is awesome.

 Fun facts: those flowers are from a wedding card Brig and I received. (Those cards are perfect for scrap booking)

Also, the reason why its slanted at the end, as my mom would always say, "She's left handed."

Anyways, I am not going through some huge trial or anything, but I know that on a rainy day I can come and read it :)

hey guys! i'm loving this new blog idea :) i don't have too much to share but just wanted to tell you that we got to virginia safely!

ignore the directions thing, i just wanted to show you where we are now! 

i wrote a longer post about it on my other blog so if you want to read it, go for it! it is kind of weird living in a hotel, i won't lie. it's nice because i pretty much just keep to myself but also i really don't talk to anyone all day and it's kinda weird! i do say hello to the housekeepers when i see them in the halls but it's pretty empty around here until 5pm when all the soldiers start to come home. i'm still not used to living on an army base at ALL and i'm still kind of scared to leave the hotel...army guys can be intimidating! they all look so stern that i feel like i'm doing something wrong haha. there are all sorts of rules like if you run before 7 am/after 4pm you have to wear reflective clothing; you can't drive on certain roads at certain times in the morning because of PT (physical training) etc. it's really not too bad, but i'm just a little nervous that i'll break a rule or get a ticket or something (that probably wouldn't happen...i'm just nervous cause i've never done this before!) i (jokingly) asked eric the other day if i should bow when i see a 4 star general and of course he said no, but i still feel like i need to learn all about how things work around here. so basically, i need to learn a lot haha. eric says every army wife goes through this at the beginning so that's good to know. it's actually super nice to be able to write this out because i literally don't talk to anyone until eric gets home so it's nice to be able to kind of talk to you guys!

mel, i'm so sorry about bert :( i know he was such a good companion for you and he made your wedding pictures STUNNING! i hope you're not feeling too sad about it! let me know if there's anything i can do to make you feel better...even though i'm so far away! love you all!

roommates!

hi roomies! so... basically i been missin' you. i was thinking about a good way for us to all keep in contact, share pictures and stories, or even to vent, and came up with a blog where we are all authors and can write anything that our hearts and minds desire. you are all some of my dearest friends and i don't want that to end just because we don't live together anymore. 

i love you all and can't wait to hear about your lives!
